All About Me
Word Count: 258
My main love is blogging.
I started my blog, The Makeup Drawer, back in the fall of 2009.
It wasn't until the following year that I got my first follower.
Now, I get about 50,000 views per month.
The blog is focused primarily on makeup and fashion with a dose of randomness on occasion.
Blogging was so new to me but in time, it became one of my major focuses in life.
It became part of me.
I dreamt for years of becoming a successful fashion designer.
I was inspired by my mother's own career as a designer and artist.
Although that dream faded, I still have a soft spot for fashion.
I first found my love for writing in the fourth grade when my teacher named me the winner of our school essay contest.
I had always been discouraged when it came to English but after my "big win", I became determined to become a great writer.
Makeup popped up during my senior year of high school.
Since then, I've continued to pursue all three interests -but always separately.
Blogging opened a door for me.
Blogging allows me to combine all three of my loves and spin them into endless posts of personal thoughts, opinions, and ideas.
As my blog and I grow older, it will continue to be an outlet to turn to during good and bad times -happy and sad.
And maybe one day, once all the hard work has paid off, the blog will go from being a hobby to a full time career.
